The Greatest Relationship Ever
Experience God's Love and Forgiveness. (1 of 4)

Kevin:
Hi, I'm Kevin.

Stacey:
And I'm Stacey. Today, we'll be discussing the important topic of "how to experience God's love and forgiveness."

Kevin:
These are one of what are called "transferable concepts." They were written by Dr. Bill Bright, the founder of Campus Crusade for Christ, Int'l.

Stacey:
Now, do you ever have difficulty believing that God has completely forgiven your sins? I mean maybe you believe it with your head, but not really with your heart.

Kevin:
And you know, the fact is, if you've placed your trust in Christ, God has forgiven you of your sins. So as we talk today, we're going to show you how you can only experience the incredible love and forgiveness of God when you understand who Jesus Christ is and why He came.

Student:
I think people feel guilty when they do something, anything that they feel like they're not supposed to do.

Student:
I think there's just a big confusion with guilt, and the fact that Christ died so you can feel freedom--freedom in Him.

Student:
I don't believe that you should have sustained guilt in your life, because through Christ, you're forgiven, so you shouldn't live with that guilt, you should hand it over and be done with it.

Jesus of Nazareth is unparalleled. He is the most remarkable, the most powerful, and the most attractive personality of all time. To know Him personally as your Savior and Lord is the basis of the greatest relationship you can ever have. Because only through Jesus can you experience God's love and forgiveness. Let me explain why.

Jesus claimed to be God. And, after His cruel crucifixion, Jesus demonstrated that He was God by rising from death. Then, over a period of forty days, He appeared to hundreds of people - as many as five hundred in a single meeting. Later his followers watched in wonder as Jesus returned to heaven.

But Jesus didn't live on earth just to prove He was God. He came to give you eternal life. To offer you forgiveness. And to set you free from sin and guilt. He wants to give you a full and meaningful life here on earth. Your life overflows with the desirable qualities mentioned in Galatians 5:22,23, which states: "The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control." (Galatians 5:22,23, NIV)

Jesus never intended for you to live a defeated, dreadful existence. He called you to live a life of joy and victory. Whatever the circumstance you are in-comfort or conflict, abundance or need, health or sickness, freedom or persecution-our Lord promises peace. He said He would never leave you, and that He will do anything you ask in His name.
